Christina and her family love living in Cedar Park and want to share all the wonderful reasons why Cedar Park and the metropolitan areas of Northwest Austin are a great place to live, work and play. The Bell District, located on Bell Boulevard (US 18) between Buttercup Creek Boulevard and Park Street, is the cornerstone of the city's development. The City of Cedar Park is conducting a comprehensive study to update the future land use plan and identify community priorities. This project is supported by a master plan that utilizes redevelopment experts from around the country, comprehensive financial models and forecasts for the public and private sectors, and significant public investment.
The Bell District will be home to the new, modern Cedar Park Public Library, along with 16 acres of green space. The Cedar Park City Council voted to approve the city staff's recommendation that RedLeaf Properties be a finalist as the city's main developer. With the construction of toll 183, some of the traffic passing through Cedar Park was alleviated. The Cedar Park Library Foundation is currently raising funds to improve the Library's offerings and provide even more interesting programming to the Library in its new facilities.
In February, after an extensive acquisition process and a full year of exclusive negotiations, the City of Cedar Park and RedLeaf signed a Framework Development Agreement (MDA). This agreement details the development, design and use of the property, the financial plan, the terms of dismantling the property, and the obligations and responsibilities of both parties. The timeline for completion of projects in Cedar Park is dependent on several factors. The City of Cedar Park is working diligently to ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner.
The City has also established partnerships with local utility companies such as Pedernales Electric 331-8883, City Water 401-5300, City Wastewater 401-5300, Gas Atmos Energy 800-460-3030, Texas Gas Service 800-700-2443, Urban Trash 401-5300, AT&T Uverse 800-464-7928, Time Warner Cable 485-5555, Cedar Park Police 260-4600, Fire Department 401-5220, City of Cedar Park 401-5000, and Chamber of Commerce 260-7800.
